Red (Red) – Part 7

Dolce & Gabbana!!

Dolce & Gabbana brought the wealth of the Byzantine Empire to the runway of Milan Fashion Week. Byzantine culture reproduced enormous Roman, Greek and Oriental power. Culture coordinated the luxury and wealth of the East with the balance and sobriety of the Romans. We cannot talk about Byzantium without talking about the mosaics and they were the inspiration for the Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana for winter 2014, more specifically in the mosaics of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul and St. Mark’s in Venice. The color chart remained in red, gold, gray and black, even the rich embroidery did not vary the colors, the gold was one of the great highlights of the parade.

The accessories were another highlight, bags with embroidery, golden crowns, maxi earrings, crucifixes and the elaborate shoes, became a desire among fashionistas. In the end, an army of models wearing red lace pieces invaded the runway, leaving the final image of a rich, embroidered, shiny and decorative autumn for the brand.

So what did you think?? I loved…
