Well, to start the week, I decided to tell you a little about the aesthetic treatments I’m doing (and I’m loving it!) and for that I asked my beautician, the dear Waléria Pinheiro, to talk about Radiofrequency, especially SPECTRA G3 for you to understand better.

Radiofrequency is the set of electromagnetic radiation that oscillates simultaneously in the electric and magnetic field, these radiations are converted into heat and absorbed by the skin tissues. The wave crosses the tissues adjacent to the electrodes as a conduction current and produces an increase in temperature, promoting vasodilation and improvement of blood circulation from 40ºC, reaching a maximum limit of 45ºC. This process causes the fibroblast to be activated and increase the production of more collagen and elastin fibers, as these substances give support and firmness to the skin. The results can be seen in the first session and the result is progressive, that’s why the Radiofrequency action can be immediate or late:

– Immediate: activation of cellular metabolism, the region’s circulatory system and retraction of existing collagen fibers (lifting effect).

– Late: fibroblastic stimulation with increased production of collagen and elastin: firming action.

Indications: The main indication of this treatment is dermal sagging and can be used in various parts of the body, such as arms, back, abdomen, flanks, buttocks, thighs, legs, face, neck and décolleté.

Other indications for use are for Stretch marks, PEFE (Cellulite), Adhesions and Fibrosis, Unaesthetic Scars, Acne, Stretch Marks, Localized Adiposity.

Radiofrequency contraindications: Vasodilator and anti-coagulant therapy; Inflamed areas; infections; Dermatological diseases in the area (eg lupus); Varicose veins and phlebitis; Pregnancy; pacemaker; Neoplasms; Bleeding areas; metallic prostheses; fills; Changes in thermal sensitivity.

The SPECTRA G3 radiofrequency is the only device on the market that has Photobiomodulation in the same device, which is the use of LED light for therapeutic and aesthetic purposes, as it non-invasively stimulates cellular metabolism, ideal for treatments of rejuvenation, whitening of spots, sagging skin, cellulite, healing, hair growth, pain relief, pre and post-operative, acne, dark circles, dilated pores, among others. Photobiomodulation light radiation acts on mitochondria, stimulating ATP synthesis and, consequently, protein synthesis, such as collagen and elastin, also contributing to cell division. And last but not least, another differential of the New SPECTRA G3 with the new ATP system – Automatic Temperature Permanence. The system is an intelligent software that automatically controls the thermal permanence time on the tissues, respecting an adequate temperature range and necessary time of application in the treated region, without needing the intervention of the professional, aiming not to cause superficial thermal damage.

How long will the treatment results last? As with all aging treatments, the result will also suffer the action of time and new applications can be made, if necessary, and according to the evaluation of the technical professional.

Is this treatment safe? The procedure is very safe, non-invasive and painless, so after the session you can return to your usual activities. The occurrence of minor damage to the skin is very rare. The treatment has been carefully studied in hundreds of patients in the US and Canada generating reports that show minimal adverse effects.
