Donatella Versace, artistic director of Versace since 1997, showed her collection in partnership with Riachuelo yesterday (06.11). The presentation marked Donatella’s debut on a Brazilian catwalk, as well as being Riachuelo’s first partnership with a foreign brand.
The parade took place with an amusement park atmosphere, with a Ferris wheel, illuminating the end of the catwalk and a huge bumper car track illuminated by lights. On board the carts were models such as Carol Ribeiro, Fernanda Tavares and Ana Claudia Michels who paraded pieces with a maritime air, in shades of black, off white, yellow, purple, pink and coral.
What we saw were the brand’s classic shirts that pair with skinny pants in eco-leather, with guipure lace appliqués. Pencil skirts, neoprene crop tops and high-waisted shorts, with star prints, shells and lots of animal print. The pieces rescue iconic prints created by Gianni Versace, who was murdered in 1997.
The jewelry is in a maxi version, such as the starfish and shell chains and pendants. The pieces from the collection cost up to R$399.90 and arrived in stores today (07.11) – (check out the stores that received the collection here!).
Fernanda Tavares opened the show, while the last look was by Carol Ribeiro. At the end of the presentation, Donatella entered the catwalk accompanied by shirtless “sailors”.
After the show, one more surprise: a little shop was opened behind the catwalk for guests to buy their clothes first-hand, super cool, don’t you think?! While some finished their pieces, others took advantage of the super party on the other side of the space, with a show by dancers-sailors and an exclusive cabin, where Donatella Versace received some guests, including bloggers Camila Coutinho, Thássia Naves and Camila Coelho.
